Appasaheb met Bhavarlal Bhau in 1985, in America. The common thread, viz, Development of agriculture brought them closer & together they propagated the modern agricultural techniques. This award is a salutation to the work of Appasaheb in the field of agriculture.

Selection Process :
A Committee of three, consisting of experience knowledgeable farmer, renowned & eminent agricultural expert and permanent representative of Jain Charities, will select the awardee from amongst applications/nominations.
