Great Poet Mahanor Nature-Poetry Award

Background Outline :
Government of India conferred ‘Sahitya Academy‘ Award in 2000 to Shri N.D. Mahanor in recognition of his poetry of Indian rural, nature and environment background. In jubilation of the honour, as a civil felicitation function was organized by people of Jalgaon. In this programme, Bhavarlal Jain, Bhau, ‘the Son-of-the-Soil’ declared an award in honour of nature -poet Shri N.D. Mahanor.
The friendship between Bhavarlal Bhau & Namdeorao began in 1970, flourished over time & grew into becoming a family member. This award is an everlasting symbol of their long-standing, mature friendship.

Selection Process :
A search for a person, engaged in the new breed poetry and its various aspects, will continue till a deserving candidate as identified.
• It is almost impossible to fix a time frame for search of an excellent quality work.

• Poetry on nature, environment, agriculture, farming, rural setting, or

• Meaningful debate on, intelligent critique searching beauty in, appreciation of poetry and exceptional compilation of Prose-Poetry on Nature, its in-depth study, or

• Encouragement to seminars on nature poetry, new research oriented dissertation, collection of nature poems.

• Only one reward at a time.

• One person to get reward only once.
